“Test Archive” is a feature that checks an archive for its corruption by performing the following tests:
When data in the archive is compressed, Bandizip performs its decompression and displays an error message if any data corruption is detected during the process.
When the archive is in a format that stores checksum information such as CRC32, Bandizip compares it with information of the decompressed data. Bandizip displays a CRC error message if any discrepancy is detected between them.
ZIP, RAR, 7Z, ARJ, LZH, ALZ, EGG, GZ, ...
TAR, ISO, IMG, UDF, ...
When the archive is transferred over the Internet and then interrupted, truncated data may occur. Bandizip detects the truncation and displays an error message about the problem.
